What is

Carolina Shag?

"A Quick and smooth dance that rose in popularity among young people in the 1940s as they stepped and twirled to "beach music."

Dancing Since 1989

ShagAtlanta was established in 1989 with the merger of two metropolitan Atlanta shag clubs, the North Atlanta Beach Club and the Atlanta Beach Club, the latter being one of the original six shag clubs signing the charter that formed the Association of Carolina Shag Clubs (A.C.S.C.) in 1984.
