Dear Members of
ShagAtlanta:
For the 14th
year, you make the coffee, you sell the tickets, you check the armbands, you
answer 10,000 questions, and you do it all with a smile. The “refreshments”
may have something to do with that grin. You
reassure Charlie and I every step of the way (and boy do we need it!).
The compliments
about the volunteers at the Grand Nationals are to numerous to count.
Each volunteer takes such personal pride in every task they undertake. Because
of this, the Grand Nationals is known for being an outstanding event.
This year the event went off without a hitch, because all the volunteers
were terrific. It was like watching
a great choreographed routine.
The sense of
family that we feel each and every year is overwhelming.
We look forward to the Grand Nationals because we do get to spend time
with our Shag Club.
We thank each and
every volunteer and hope they enjoyed the week-end. We know it’s a lot of hard
work, and we hope you know how blessed we feel to have you in our lives.
Because of this ShagAtlanta family effort, Shag will continue to thrive.
