Update for the week of February 05,
2011.
You know when
Billy’s in the booth, the floor is covered with lively dancers and a whole lot
of fun.
And the Birthday Dancers covered the floor after having a piece of the beautiful birthday cake supplied
by Janet Croft.
We had visitors from Knoxville,(Smokey Mountain Shag Club)
Barbara and Nicole, who came to Nemoe’s to see what Shag Atlanta was about. Both had a
marvelous time dancing and socializing with others.
Bob
and Kellie Altman are friends of Mike And Deborah Foran. I do believe we will
see these smiling faces again.
The
loveable trio; Wanda,Brenda and A.J. from Birmingham. Also seen in this group
were Elaine and Kenneth Miller. Sure was great to see these folks come to town. Big night with split-the-kitty. Ticket sellers
were the talented Deanie Woodie and Doug Payne
The member lottery worth $282.00 would have gone
to Robbie Pope had he been present. Next week the member lotery will be worth
$352.00. (Remember you must be present to win.) “Shots from

thankless job with low pay, but oh what fun you will have doing this. Remember next Saturday, February 12th will be our
valentines dance and our deejay for the evening will be mr. jim agee. Please

Dues deadline is fast approaching, March 01, 2011 is just around the corner. If
you fail to renew by the deadline, an additional $5.00 charge will be required
when you send in renewal monies. Don’t get caught having to pay a penalty. Basic

learned when the gang comes in to party. You will also be provided with practice

being taught. If you have nothing better to do early on Saturday, come to

SHAGATLANTA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE SUBJECT: PROPOSED AMMENDMENT TO BY-LAWS During the regular Executive Committee meeting on September 11,
2010 your Executive Committee approved a motion to propose a change to the clubs
By-Laws. During the General Membership Meeting at the Benson Center on Nov 7th an
announcement was made, that in accordance with the requirements of the Club
By-Laws, the proposed amendment would be put forth in writing to the club prior
to the next General Membership Meeting. The following is the current wording of
Article XI; Section 3: New Members Dues and Deadlines: “New members will submit payment of annual dues with
application for membership. The Club will not accept new members during the
months of November and December.” The proposed change to this Section would revise it to read as
follows: “New members will submit payment of annual dues with
application for membership. The Club will accept new members during the months
of November and December at 50% of the regular annual dues.” Please consider this proposal and come
