say March comes in like a lion, but I think it was rather calm, until
ShagAtlanta hit the dance floor at

then we tore it up, didn’t we? What a blast! Billy Waldrep
from Roebuck, SC (I know…I know!
I had that all wrong last week!) worked
his usual magic all weekend long. He
can really pull those crowds in … let me tell you, and the energy in the room is
apparent to all. You just can’t help but have a good time when that smiling,
dancing, lip-syncing

Birthday cake and birthday dances

(one of our new
members) who volunteered to
be responsible for getting and bringing the birthday cake this month. This
is a new plan to get more people involved and take some of the work load from our very busy
social vp’s Linda and Debbie.

Split the Kitty was sold by
Carol Daniels and Sharon Clark
And it was won by Karen Williford and her
friend Brandy Dunter
They are splitting $138.00!

The Members-Only-Lottery was played
and lost. Heather Lary’s number was called and She was NOT
there!!!!!! Next week we’ll pull it again and the pot will start at $319.00 Remember, you have to be present to win!
And Sunday found us together again for the first Jam Session and Membership meeting of 2010. We had a record
crowd…100 people came out to
and enjoyed dancing to the music of Billy
Waldrep,
as well as munching
from a yummy buffet of light hors d’houvers. It was fabulous, and we had 4 people join and about 16 people
renew. Just look at the fun you missed!

We’re always happy to see Buddy and know that folks will want to come
back and welcome him to our humble
little dance home.

you like, and join us in the back for DANCING! Also we
still have a deal with the Hampton Inn across the street from Nemoe’s.

*The weekly Email Update *The Annual Yearbook/ Directory *The annual Mid-Year Directory *Reduced Membership rates into special events like Jam Sessions *And the chance to socialize and dance with your friends every
Saturday night. Remember, this is ShagAtlanta’s only
source of income. When
we plan special events we barely break even, so
if we don’t get your memberships, these events may go away. Your dues are the only thing that
supports this club, and
because of them we don’t’ have to pay a cover charge on Saturday nights and we are able to provide great DJs for Jams, as well as hors d’ouvers, decorations on special nights,
birthday cakes, Flowers and greetings to members experiencing illness or deaths
in families, etc. If
you love coming out and dancing on Saturday nights …please
support this club. We have 71 members
that have
not renewed at this time. That’s a big financial loss, so get
your renewals in now!
